That's a nice cover.

Man, with all the exclusive trilogy releases, and releases for the third film, my hobbit collection will be massive. Ive already got ten versions for first two films together. I will have this one though.

It is nice but I will stick with my UK theatrical steelbooks and US extended steelbooks.

I posted that pic in a couple of other threads, but b/c it's so small, I assumed that it was updated artwork for BOTFA. However, you're prolly right that it's for the whole trilogy (2D BD, no DVD).

I'd consider getting a jumbo steelbook if it were the Extended Editions, same goes for The Lord of The Rings trilogy. I imagine you could fit up to 8 discs inside of a regular sized steelbook using one of those middle inserts.

I agree, I have the EE for the first and second one. Really wonder if they will do one for the third later on. And since these probably aren't going to be the EE's I'm going to pass. It is a nice SB though.

my guess is just error in the upload dept. probably for a unique sku not posted yet and got mixed up, no reason the theatrical cut for BOTFA is a jumbo, plus probably wouldn't use just sting on the cover based upon previous SB releases for first two.

Looks purty and all but as others said EE or go home.

Yes, I believe this image will eventually be attributed to another page in a little while. Warner hasn't officially announced the trilogy yet, so pages should be up after that.

I'm not wasting time on any of these if they're not the Extended Editions, whether they're jumbo or not. I'll just wait for when they release the inevitable Hobbit Extended Trilogy set to go with the LOTR:

Give me the extended edition trilogy in 3d. That's all I want/need.

I have this along with the BB steels for the theatricals for my LotR collection.

For the hobbit I have the UK steelbooks for theatrical releases and the BB and Target steelbooks for the extended releases (I took the 3D discs out of the BB one and put the 2D discs in). Thankfully they didn't put 3D anywhere on the B steelbook.

I really am happy with how well the titles on the front and spines of the BB and Traget steelbooks match perfectly. I really hope one of them does a steelbook for the extended edition of Five Armies.
