Here's anothe pic of it:
![]() Not much better I'm afraid. Although released in 2000, the story is set in 1988, so you could be looking at speakers between those times or even before. I have a feeling that the speakers are merely a prop built by the set designers though. Hope I'm wrong . ![]() |

![]() Nice job, Texitura!!! I found this quick write-up when I did a Google Image search: "KEF Reference series 105-3 speakers. Solid and heavy at more than 40 kg each. Uses 3 visible woofers and two hidden in the cabinet. The center woofer in the front has a coaxial tweeter. All this is per side. A lot of drivers for the asking price. Extended bass and dynamics with the appropriate amplifier. Rated at 300W into a 4 ohm load. Dimension are 43"H x 16"D x 11"W." And this: http://www.kef.com/history/1980/model105_3.asp |

![]() I remember these speakers, Audio Associates(now long gone) used to sell them. They were one of my favorite speakers. I wish I could afford them back then. high end audio was so prominent in the 80's unlike now...well!!! it's making a bit of a comeback through Best Buys Magnolia but only a select few though. Now!! when it comes to video, no other decade can touch what's available now which makes me happy because nowadays I'm much more into video. I remember back in the late 80's, I used to constantly go to high end audio stores. I was kind of obsessed. My favorite stores were: Audio Associates Audio Buys Excalibur Meyer Emco Circuit City ahh!! how times change!! I kind of miss the good'ol analog days of cassette decks and turn tables. My brother currently has a huge high end cassette deck collection. Tandberg (recently sold) Revox Nakamichi SAE Tascam Sony ES Pioneer ..and more. these cassette decks were works of art Last edited by swifty7; 05-31-2013 at 09:45 PM. |
