Default Help With Specific Movie Recommendations

Can anyone recommend any GOOD to GREAT romantic/drama movies involving a woman of Asian descent and a caucasian male?

My girl and I are trying to rack our brains where this relationship scenario is depicted in a good/great movie. Outside of Karate Kid Part 2 or Come See The Paradise we are struggling.

From the recently watched ones:

The Quiet American (1955) - Based on Graham Greene's book

The Sand Pebbles (1966) - There is a side but interesting love story b/w Attenborough's character & Andraine's

Thanks.

Does anyone else know of any?

Just recently learned of In Harm's Way (2017) and Already Tomorrow in Hong Kong (2015). We watched both.

These are stretching it but The Social Network, Sayonara, and Good Morning, Vietnam all have an element of that relationship in them. Good luck, this is a tough one.

Watched this one for the first time last night. Not bad. I noticed critics and viewers haven't historically been kind to it, but I don't think it's warranted. It's not great, but not bad, either.

There is an IMDB list.

I'm guessing.

It doesn’t give hardly any of the titles provided above.

Great point!

This thread is more eclectic than I thought it would be!

A bit stretched but when you're out of titles and decide to dig into the action genre Wasabi, Miami Vice and Blackhat comes to mind.

There’s a trilogy of Netflix films that fit this description.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before
To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You
To All the Boys: Always and Forever, Lara Jean

I saw those advertised, but have feared that they are too . . . adolescent. The trailer for the first one looked like a mindframe and attitude I'm over in my life, particularly the way it seems to be depicted in the trailer.

Watched Bhowani Junction (1956) a long time ago so do not know how it has aged. But another film in this domain.

Midway (1976) - Side plot, but the son (Edward Albert) of the Captain (Charlton Heston) is in love with an American born Japanese woman (Christina Kokubo) who's been interned.

Watched the remake (2002/3). Solid acting but not very involving or interesting.

I have not watched the remake but these films are more in the timepass category that you would watch to experience a different type of story relatively speaking!

Sayonara (1957) was the first that came to mind.

The Last Samurai (2003) is another great film which has some great chemistry with Tom Cruise and Koyuki.
