Any word on the original Superman II??? - Blu-ray Forum

I know the Donner version is out there but I just don't like it. I guess it's because I grew up watching the original hundreds of times and I was so used to it. I just prefer it more. But any news on if that'll get released???

I would like to own it as well. Some of the footage added to the Donner cut is downright awful and I prefer the more polished original theatrical release. That being said, I am still glad they released the Donner Cut to quell my curiosity.

As well as the regular version of #2, Superman 3 and 4 aren't out yet either... I'd say expect a sweet Blu-ray collection of some sort when Warner finally gets the rest of the Superman movies on Blu. I'm a sucker for collections.

id actually prefer the 'original' as well i can watch that thing a million times over and still be YAY

but the Donner version is more of a once in a blue moon type

Is there any new news on the original Superman II as a separate Blu ray release? Just watched the Donner version last night and while it wasn't horrible I'd prefer the original version.

It was recently announced for individual release in Japan, so chances are it will be released in the US in the coming months.
