Post tried this test with my ears and center speaker was much more crispy !

I was watching a BluRay movie today , and i tried flexing and covering the back of my ears and the volume from the center speaker was much clearer and crispy ! Even the dialogue , i was understanding it better. Then i tried listening to some dialogue without any ear tests or anything , and the volume was back to normal , like i need to be careful for dialogue so that i can understand what theyre saying (without subtitles).

What exactly is this ?

I was using this method :

It's a midrange boost, plus a bit of added directionality. A hand behind your ear is sort of like a satellite dish antenna.

It may also mean that he is either Mickey Mouse or an Elvis impersonator.

Joking aside, listen to what Ethan said.

The only time I can think of where cupping your hands behind your ears is useful is to hear something that's soft or muffled, when you can't raise the volume. It's certainly not more hi-fi or more accurate.
