Default What do you want to see in the Next Console Generation

Maybe this is a long shot, but I'd like to have a persistent 3D avatar represent me in PS4 games. Playstation HOME allows you to build a 3D avatar similar to your own appearance. With PS4 hardware I would like to build a 3D avatar that not only looks better but has more options so it can look closer to myself.

Once you're done with this avatar it becomes your virtual self. You no longer play as a generic soldier in Battlefield games, instead your custom designed 3D avatar is the solider. In racing games like Drive Club you dont race as a generic 3D character, but as the same personal avatar which you designed. Others online who chose to create 3D avatars for themselves compete against you as their virtual selves, and not a generic game character.

Of course for games like Tomb Raider or Final Fantasy this wouldnt work, but for the others I think its a good idea. It really helps transport you into the world of the game.

3 games and done. Outside of sports games, racing games, numbered RPGs like Final Fantasy, or other special exceptions, franchises really need to come to a close after the 3rd game. As great as Uncharted is, Naughty Dog needs to move on to something else.

The way it stands now franchises only die when the 4th or 5th game inevitably receives horrible reviews for how stale it has become. Why do we always have to get to that point?

Perks for buying new games. Used games are sapping developer profits. So what do they do? Introduce things like online passes. All they had to do is make new games the more attractive option. Add codes to new games that allow instant access to late level weapons, vehicles, modes, or whatever. Give gamers a reason to pay $5 more to get the game new, instead of threatening them with online passes.

More adult oriented games. I really wish there were more developers like Quantic Dream. They've prove quite clearly a video game can tell a Hollywoodish story and make it fun all at the same time. Too many games cast you as the heavily armed thug or super hero. Not enough put you into the shoes of an Ethan Mars.

Online Gaming vs PC opponents At least early on in PS4's life this shouldnt be a problem. I believe Unreal Tournament 3 on the PS3 allows console and PC users to face off online. I would love to have the barrier between console and PC online break down with lets say Battlefield 4.
