Default Spider-Man PS4 Exclusive from Insomniac Games

Taken from the actors resume, which has since been removed (I went there myself last night whilst it was still public so it was legit, couldn't post since the site was still down )

http://resumes.breakdownexpress.com/385249-3308706

The actor is Steve Oyoung http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2432430/

39 weeks ago he tagged himself at "Sony PlayStation" doing facial scans/mo cap.

So I wonder, will it be a film tie in, will it add sometging new (1st person spidey game?) could it be for VR?

Hopefully we find out at E3.

I hope it's not VR. VR is a potentially dangerous piece of technology; what if people can't differentiate between the real world and the virtual because the virtual is so convincing? If you're getting a first-hand perspective through something in front of your eyes, that could change people. With great power comes great responsibility.

I think people can tell the difference, it's not like these are photo realistic games

If someone can't tell the difference between a game that they have had to turn on themselves therefore knowing it's a game, and the real world then they already have a pre existing condition which has nothing to do with games.

Only reason I think of vr though is that it's listed as a Sony title, so my thoughts would be that it's going to be exclusive which is strange since I thought Activision had the rights to the Spiderman games?

So maybe this will be a vr experience exclusive to playstation rather than a full on game?

Actually, there was something I saw that was a realistic shooter for PS4 VR but I can't find it now. I don't like the sound of virtual reality at all; to me, it sounds like a bad idea if they use it for games with any element of crime-fighting or shooting people if it becomes too close to reality (or as close to reality as you can get with Spider-Man).

Someone watched way to much sci-fi. There's already been tons of first person games with the oculus rift. VR really isn't that mind bending experience you think it is. It can be awesome and tons of fun... But it's always apparent you're in a video game. For someone to think otherwise they'd have to be mentally disturbed BEFORE they played video games.

Those are my thoughts too. But hey, if we can do the upside down kiss with MJ...

It's a pipedream, but imagine if Sucker Punch was working on this (it's been two years since Second Son)? I'm sure they'd knock it out of the park.

As a massive Whovian, that's probably true to be fair considering how many episodes of the show there has been over the course of its history.

There are plenty of good David Foster Wallace kind of arguments against virtual interactions, but this is not one of them.

If people can't tell that they have a PSVR on their head while playing a realistic video game, they have bigger problems.

Id love that but i dont see Sony having one of their first party studios working on an IP that they dont own. They wouldnt even be able to sell it once the license is lost and Sony tends to retain control over the games they directly develop

Does Activision still own the rights to the game of Spider-Man as with Beenox's Amazing Spider-Man 2 release in 2013?

If the license has expired, then maybe Sony has it back and wants to release a new game alongside the next Spider-Man film.

They have publishing rights for the movie up to 2017

Confirmed coming from Insomniac

Marvel and Insomniac Games team up to create a brand-new, authentic Spider-Man story exclusively for PlayStation 4. Take control of an experienced Peter Parker who is more masterful at fighting crime.

Default Rumor - Untitled Spiderman PS4 Project

A little gutted it wasn't Sucker Punch, however, I'm sure Insomniac will do Spider-Man justice! I hope!

Not sure about the suit though.
