Revision of Playstation 3

I believe that Sony is making the right decision in revising the PS3 to a 40-GB model w/out backwards compatibility along with lesser "drives" and a $399 price-point. However, since they are keeping the higher tier model at 80-GB, I believe they should have kept the full PS2 emotion engine on the higher end model at $599 (soon to be - I think) $499 which can justify the higher price compared to the $399 given the list of standard features already in place. Although I bought my PS3 solely for the purpose of playing PS3 games, watching Blu-ray, and running the Folding @ Home program, I still will utilize the PS2 backwards compatibility once in a while.

I think this is how it should have been broken down:

$399 PS3
40-GB
Blu-ray player
Wi-Fi
2 USB ports
w/out PS2 compatibility
Spider-man 3 BD movie (limited time - right?)
All black
etc.

$599/$499 PS3
80-GB
Blu-ray player
4 USB ports
PS2 compatibility
Wi-Fi
PS3 BD game (any title)
Chrome accents
etc.

What do you guys think?
