WARNING: Looks like the 3D edition will only include the 3D disc if the Amazon art is correct.

Looks like Sony didn't take notes after Universal's Jurassic World 3D screwup…

Saw the film tonight. Nowhere near as horrible as the trailers made it look, but a good half of the films' comedy still falls dead. Virtually all of the problems of the film were shown in the trailers, though. So if you can sidestep those, you might just find some things to enjoy. Kate McKinnon and Chris Hemsworth were the best characters even when the writing did them no favours.

It will be interesting to see what they do. It's a shame their neat little use of 3D has been glossed over with all the other nonsense. I don't think I've heard anything technical about the film at all.

Ratio switch bothered me really. I know it got praised in one review, but it took me out of the film a lot.

Film itself wasn't great, but not as terrible as one would have you believe.

I quite enjoyed the film and seeing all though bright colours in 4K HDR might be too good to pass up.

Paul Feig said there will be a 15 minute longer cut for home release, so hopefully we get to meet Michael Hatt.

Stuck a preorder in for the 2 disc 4K version. Really enjoyed the movie, surpassed all my cautious expectations.

I'm glad they're releasing a box set of all three Ghostbusters movies. I wonder if it will contain the 3D Bluray? Given how good the 3D is, not sure I'd want to settle for a 2D disc.

Hmm. The 3 movie box set seems like good value. I know these prices are really placeholders, but if the new movie DOES cost Ł15 on release then a set of all three for Ł20 is pretty good. I wonder if GB I and II will be the newer "Mastered in 4K" versions as I only own the older transfer of the original.

Not in the Bluray box set. It would mean those without a 4K Bluray player wouldn't be able to play it.

There is a difference between 4K and mastered in 4K. Freemind was talking about the mastered in 4K. See the two releases below.

Okay, this 4K stuff is getting very confusing...

The Mastered in 4K series will play on any BD player. It's UHD BDs that won't work. The box set will contain the Mastered in 4K versions of the originals.

Mastered in 4K, just means that the 1080p Blu-ray has derived from 4K elements, not that's it's 4K.

I wish they'd make it clearer. Should say 'Mastered from 4K elements' instead.

Mastered in 4K™ is just a brand-series name like Superbit™ was for DVD. As long as you have the BD logo on your disc and player they're compatible and you're good to go. Anyway I think they've been surpassed by the Supreme Series in the US, as they were just too confusing for the average consumer.
