I might have to pick this up - heard a lot about it but never seen it. Isn't it meant to be one of the saddest films of all time?

It's a great film but don't think I could bring myself to watch through it again . It's nothing like any of the other Ghibli movies i.e it's not set in a fantastical world with no talking creatures, so brace youself for land of no whimsy.

Could make a stone cry, or a robot for that matter.

It is pretty heartbreaking, wouldn't recommend this one for kids.

Watched this for the first time last night. It broke my heart. I seriously can't get over what happened. I was seriously upset by it but at the same time I loved it a lot and will definitely fork out £60 for the Japanese edition as well as buying the UK edition when it comes out and yes, even the US one too whenever that might be.

It was really good but I am also just a crazy obsessed Blu-ray collector that I've already started collecting the UK and US Blu-rays of the Ghibli films that I must complete them and I haven't any of the Japanese Blu-rays yet but they're something I'm going to invest in very soon.

Just call me crazy.

Love this movie, the only Anime that's actually made me cry as an adult. What happens is so sad and moving. Will definitely be picking it up. Seen quite a few Anime's which i've borrowed off a friend and this is the only one i've bought myself though I haven't been able to bring myself to watch it again. A truly great story!

I'm not sure I cried when I watched this... there was something about the tragedy of the ending which felt a bit forced to me. But the first half of the film is absolutely stunning... I'll definitely get it at some point

It seems like maybe it was, but something delayed it. Maybe that's why Castle of Cagliostro is coming out the same day as Totoro now?

I sure hope it's not canceled!

They could least give a reason for delaying it or whatever!

I wish someone could give a definite answer, all they can tell us is that it's delayed, tell us something we don't know!

Does anybody know if this is inferior to superior to the US release?

Somebody confirm if it has the new English track along with the old English and Japanese tracks? Any DNR or other problems like UK releases seem to have...
