Unfortunately, this title is another to be pulled from Studio Canal's release schedule.

I will update the thread should a new release date pop up in the future.

Very upset at this one - one of my favourite World Cinema titles which I don't already have on blu (along with Le Samourai)

Why couldn't Highlander Endgame be delayed in favour of this? Oh well hopefully Studio Canal will reschedule soon, hopefully along with They Live. (Nobody please post a link to the Italian blu as helpful as it is I want a UK version)

In the latest "Radar" booklet (that comes with some StudioCanal titles) this is advertised for release on 2 April. It says "The 15th anniversary edition of this 3 time Oscar winner contains all new extras including cast and crew interviews and an exclusive booklet"

Looks like it might get The Outsiders/The Conversation treatment.

Great new, it will be worth the wait hopefully. Now what about that other delayed SC title They Live being put back on schedule...

Can't find any info on the BBFC site or the SC site, but the StudioCanal catalog #13 says "Life Is Beautiful" will contain all-new extras including cast and crew interviews and an exclusive booklet.

Seems like this is the best version so far (in comparison to US and Can).

Marginally, but it does best the US transfer according to those screenshots. 16.99 pounds is too much though. I may import it if it drops close to 10.

Same here. I already own the Can Version. But that 55 min. documentary sounds interesting.

This wasn't gonna be a day 1 purchase for me, but the inclusion of a 55 min doc "revisiting Life is Beautiful" may have just changed that! Damn you Studio Canal!

Don't count on it- the mock up pics for UK StudioCanal 'Garden State' also showed a slipcase type packaging similar to Outsiders/Conversation but it ended up being released in a standard case with no slipcover/slipbox or booklet.

My copy of this arrived today I know I said I was gonna wait for a price drop, but the inclusion of a new 55 min doc swung it for me. Mine came with a slip. Had a quick look at the transfer & extras...as far as PQ goes I agree with the review here on this site which gave it 4/5. I was pleased with it and it's heaps better than the dvd, which I popped in (for comparison) just before loading up the BD. The new 55 min doc is in HD. It doesn't look like it features any input from Roberto Benigni - which is a shame - but does include the kid from the film (obviously all grown up now) and also a bit from Martin Scorsese at the start, amongst various other talking heads. The other extras are in standard def and seemed to have been made around the same time as the film. FYI the default language is dubbed english () so get ready to hit that audio button or go into the set-up menu. Despite my reservations about the price I'm glad I picked this up now, and am looking forward to watching the film properly soon

No booklet i'm afraid. Packaging looks a lot like the Sony Collectors Editions with white spine and gold text. It's a decent release though, good PQ and more importantly a great film!

I read that there's image wobble. Have you found this issue to be distracting?

I watched the film all the way through shortly after picking up the BD, and can't remember any image wobble Do you have a time reference for it?
