The scariest ghost movie i've ever seen is probably The Shining

The Others and both The Ring movies are awesome too

Had this have been multiple choice I'd have gone with 'The Shining', 'The Entity' and 'The Exorcist' as my other.

As it stands though 'The Shining' pips it for me.

i mean, they have "ghosts" in them but wouldnt consider them straight up ghost movies....

I picked Poltergeist because it scared me as a kid. But honestly, ghost/supernatural movies don't do anything for me anymore (except entertain), since they're so unrealistic. A film like Texas Chainsaw Massacre '74 is a lot scarier, in my opinion.

It's weird I am terrified of ghost films but have seen around half of the titles listed.
I could choose many that are listed but voted other as my choice is 'Lake Mungo'.
So damn creepy.

The Shining first, with The Exorcist in close second. Insidious had some darn scary parts. The '99 House on Haunted Hill freaked me out at times when I first saw it. Same with Event Horizon. Silent Hill is creepy, but never really scared me outright. Poltergeist felt disturbing when I was a kid, but as an adult, definitely not.

And...that's pretty much it. No other film really scares me that much.
