Help me Buy Halloween..

So I love Horror movies, and although I'm a bit ashamed to admit this, I can't stand the Halloween films. Having seen most of them over the years I've always found them to slow and boring for my tastes. However with that said, Several years have gone by since I've watched any of them (with the exception being that I watched Rob the Zombie films last year) and I feel if I'm to have the kick ass Horror collection I like to think I have then it's time I purchase these.

Originally I had planned on buying a box set if one was ever to be released, however with that looking unlikely to ever happen I figure now is as good a time as any to purchase these individually. So, my question to the fan's of this franchise and it's various blu's is which versions are the best to own? Having seen that there are multiple versions of several of the films I figured I'd turn to the experts to see what they think are the versions worth buying.

Here are my only real considerations... Picture Quality Trumps everything, Special features aren't that important UNLESS a documentary exists on one of the release to the tune of the Never Sleep Again, Crystal Lake Memories, or The Fear of God (Exorcist Documentary), and the Lower the price the better. If picture quality is close, then the cheapest price one will always win out over better special features. So with all of that.. what's the consensus on which movies I should buy first, and in which versions? (As I'll likely purchase the entire film franchise)
