just checked and apparently the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara DVD is 2 disc set and whereas the blu-ray is bare bones. Same for something like Kal Ho Naa Ho. Dostana also has a directors commentary on the DVD edition but its missing from the blu-ray. I know that some special features may not be that important but it would be nice to have them seeing as you're paying more money for the blu-ray version to begin with.

Yep it's a long-standing tradition with Indian BD releases to throw out special features. I believe with some of the YRF films they include extras or put in a separate DVD containing the bonus features of 2-DVD releases. Among non-YRF releases Dabangg and DevD are BD's that have bonus features - DevD especially has a fantastic making of, not just fluff with people patting each other on the back.
