How about it? It could even get a cameo from Wolverine. Puck on screen finally! Northstar a gay superhero finally on screen! Although I wouldn't want Wendigo as the main villain, I would love to see him smash out of a cave and say "Weeeendigo!" (Those who played the 4-player X-men game know what I'm talking about).

that being said, I would love to see one, but it will never happen.

There's a reason why that director was chosen. If they hired him to direct then that somebody would take the part as long as the director was on board to direct that somebody when he decided he wanted to direct, once his salary demands were met.
