Default About counting your blu-ray collection

When you count the blu-rays you own in your collection and say how many you own, do you also count the "special features" blu-ray disc that comes with some blu-rays or do you just count the blu-ray disc that has the actual movie?

I do not put a lot of thought into this. I simply find the edition of the Blu-ray that corresponds to my copy, and then click "Add to Collection." My Blu-rays are in alphabetical order, and I avoid grouping them by genre and such.

I never count the discs themselves. Just SKU's or individual movies or TV show seasons. Apart from some of the bigger titles in my collection I couldn't say if that many have special feature discs.

I probably know more about my DVDs than I do my BDs.

It doesn't bother me one way or another. I guess however this site counts them.

Count unique movies and TV seasons as "1".

Is there even an option to count special feature discs? Not that I would though. Also I noticed a changed to the "theatrical movies". It no longer "counts" them since it used to say a numerical number on how many I've seen. Now it's just "I've watched" to add it.

I always say how many movies I own as I feel that's what really matters. TV shows I always mention separately cause I don't quite know how to count them.

Always thought of special feature discs as what they're advertised: Extras. I don't count them as "2 movies" in my collection; doesn't make sense to me as it isn't standalone, but only adds to the movie or gives insight.

I just count the whole release as one item, in my collection.
But I would suggest to do whatever you like. That's the whole point of this hobby, or any hobby, to have fun with it!

No matter how many discs a single movie is, it's still just one.

Back when I had a DVD Collection I used to count individual Disks.
Flippers counted as 2....

With Blu-Ray I count movies because a lot come with a DVD of the Movie. Or they come with a DVD of the Special Features.

I don't count special features individually. But on occasion I have broken down box sets and counted individual movies. I've done this because I used this site to sort of take inventory of the movies/tv seasons on blu-ray I own haven't watched yet. I've since found better ways of doing that and have been too lazy to clean up my collection I guess.

I count individual titles. So the Star Wars saga adds 6 to my collection.

But if my wife asks how many I have in my collection, I count by SKU

The number of movies I own is the number of movie I own? Special features are not a movie.
