Here's hoping for a new transfer, one that this film deserves.

I second that! I can't begin to describe how beautiful this film would look if a little TLC went into cleaning it up & I hope MGM agrees with me.

Much as it'd be awesome to see a better transfer, Fox/MGM have so little love for their animated films in the first place that it's hard to see this one getting an upgrade, especially when a Blu-ray master already exists. Most likely Fox is just porting the same release over for these shores. But one can hope.
