USA Rumors? Ducktales the movie

Wasn't sure where to post this or rumors of Dvd releases. But I read online (on a wiki page) that DuckTales the movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp will get a full wide public release on Dvd this year. Does anyone know if this is true? I just bought it from an online marketplace seller, so.I was just curious if anyone knew of an official wide release and not just a DMC Exclusive release.

Thank you.

Zachariah

Its ben on Dvd for years but only as a DMC exclusive. And I live in the States so amazonuk wont really help me, don't have the money for international shipping.

Was just wondring if there has been any official wide release.

Don't have enough for international shipping?! The movie is £3.47 (£2.89 minus the VAT) plus £2.09 shipping to America at Amazon UK

In total that's US$7.81 for the movie+shipping.

Seriously, how poor are you?

Umm, I hope you understand that not everyone has to ability to play PAL/region 2 DVD's so maybe the cost isn't the only reason

....having said that, if he can play them, then I agree with you!

I heard the opposite. A Disney worker who posts here said dmc has limited quantites of it available, and when they're gone, they're gone for good. I made sure to get one when I signed up for the club

Well, if you read my post in the Disney blu thread, you'd know that I lost my job last week, so $7 is a lot for someone with no money. Plus, i'm not fond of international versions, prefer US/region1.

Also, this thread was to discuss a possible full, nonexclusive dvd of the film, not a debate on wheather or not one can/can not afford a region 2 dvd.

I have a bluray player, dunno if those are region free or not and if not $7 is too much (not to mention the wait) to spend on a coaster.

Thank you

If you lost your job, dvd/bluray purchases should be low on your list of priorities.

I went for the UK disc a few years ago since it was a cheap option. Just to say, I loved the Ducktales TV series, but had never got around to watching the movie until the DVD.

I have to say I was extremely disappointed with it. Usually movie versions of TV shws are supposed to be bigger, grander, something much more than the TV series could offer. The movie was much weaker than some of the TV episodes sadly.

You mentioned in the first post that you just bought it, but you also claimed that $7 was a lot to spend for someone without a job. I standby what I said: if you don't have a job, dvd/bluray purchases should not be a priority.

1. I bought it (basically for free with the Diamond edition of Snow White for $50) BEFORE I lost my job, I created this post to find if theres any truth to the rumor.

2. And...it kinda depends on the blu/dvd right? Like The Hunger Games, The Avengers & The Aladdin Diamond are going to hopefully be first week/month buys...so it depends on the film.

I haven't seen this movie in this since I was a kid. The last time I saw it I believe was when I rented it on VHS from the library in my area

Does it matter to you what his priorities are in how he spends any money he has?
It really shouldnt, and he shouldnt have to answer to YOU about that.
He was asking if there was truth to a rumor he heard.
why go out of your way to argue with him about importing something when it had nothing to do with his original post

thats the problem with people in America, they got their nose in everyone else's business. He asked a question and gets the third degree, typical forum mentality.

I haven't seen this movie in years. Not since I was a kid I will have to pick this up along with the 3 Ducktales Volumes.
