Default Using the DVD video ratings and BD video ratings

I have of Panasonic BD 65 player. I am trying to set the ratings so that my kids can watch a disc. I went to the function menu to try to set the ratings, but after I set the age rating to 21 and the DVD rating to restrict all, nothing seems to take effect. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? I expected that when the disc is put in, that's a password would be requested. Nothing like that happens. The disk just plays.

I'm not 100% sure but I think the DVD needs to support that feature. I'll have a look around to double-check.

Default Half successful

I spoke with a Panasonic representative, and she led me through everything I had done before. The only thing I did different, was to put a DVD as well. The DVD locked up as it should. But nothing we did can make the Blu-rays lock up. The only conclusion the rep could make was that my player was not functioning. Has anyone else experienced this?
