South Korea The Traffickers 27/02/2013

Anyone seen this? From the synopsis it looks like something that could be totally awesome or really bad, if it turns into a Korean melodrama (like Seven Days). It's about organ trafficking.

Watched it last night, I thought it was a superb Korean crime thriller. Some extremely intense fight scenes and a good plot with plenty of unexpected turns.

I have just seen the DVD version of this movie, and I have very mixed feelings about it. At the beginning of the movie I thought the movie was very good. There were many elements in this movie I liked and it was well played, but there was some twists at the end that kind of ruined the whole movie for me - which left me with a feeling of just having seen a typical US/Hollywood movie.... They managed to keep the movie exiting and the viewer in suspense, and I really liked the gory action - which actually surprised me, BUT....
[Show spoiler]the totally "shocking surprise Hollywood twist" endings is something that I hoped I moved away from when I started looking at South Korean movies.... It seems to be a trend now that some movies are That was a disappointment to me unfortunately...

It, the final twist, could have worked if the guy that ended up being the 'baddie' didn't play it like such a douche bag. I still think it fits above typical hollywood bullcrap in its willingness to not play into stereotypical story lines.

And the subtitles... man, did they suck. One guy says 'I'm so high' as he walks out of the customs. Some of it made no sense at all. It bordered on ruining the whole experience for me.

Just watched this last night and i really enjoyed it. I have to admit that i thought the twist at the end was great and i really did not see it coming. Usually you can guess Hollywood movie endings 5 minutes into a movie but this one came as a shock. I thought they did a great job with it.

do you mean the twist right at the end or the twist just before that in the hospital or the twist just before that in the hospital?

Sorry guess i should have specified - actually all three were pretty good but the one at the hospital was the one i did not see coming at all.

Watched this thriller flick two days ago and I really enjoyed too, the plot and twists are well thought out and executed, great flick, the LE set is nice too, would have been nicer if it was digipak but the slip and the post cards make up for it, btw are the writing/signatures on the back of postcards real & not printed?, looks that way

That's good to hear. I was hesitant to buy this title based on very mixed reviews. I saw the exceptional packaging and thought, "I better get this soon".
Ordered yesterday and here you are with an encouraging review. 👌

watched this early this morning, it's a great movie, lots of twist, two thumbs up very nice shiny slip cover I also like their cases (similar to the cases used by CC), they are very thick and no holes
