It's time to throw-down Final Fantasy style. Which Final Fantasy film did you like better? I'm not asking which film was ultimately better per say, just which one you LIKED more.

Bonus: If you feel up to it, explain your choices so we can have a good conversation going as fans of one or both of the movies.

Almost anything is better then Spirits Within. Neither film captured the brilliance that was Final Fantasy pre FF XIII.

Advent Children felt like FFVII fans were just thrown a bone, instead of a serious attempt to expand the and explore the universe.

I liked Spirits Within but I really liked Advent Children

I've yet to see Spirits (but it did ruin Square) and I absolutely hate Advent Children.

Spirits Within was pretty bad.

That said Advent Children isn't that great either. It does have some great sequences and the animation is quite good, especially considering its budget. But overall, it was an unnecessary sequel to the game, and the story just wasn't too compelling.

I bought it on BD recently since it was going for a bargain price. Still haven't watched it yet though.
