Hope this is good. HBO really needs some good new comedies.
I love girls but I have already gave up on looking and veep is pretty disappointing to me. I really am sad we no longer have eastbound and Down, enlightened, bored to death, hello ladies, etc. And who knows if we will ever get more curb your enthusiasm??? . |

I wonder how they'll handle him being gone. I read they aren't going to acknowledge his death this season but I wonder how it will work next season with him being gone. |

I was just coming here to express my growing enthusiasm for this show, and then I see for the first time this news about Christopher Evan Welch's death during season 1. WTF.
Peter Gregory's character development was just about to start too. Leaves quite a few things left open, especially the exploration of his past relationship with Gavin Belson. But , since his character was so introverted and distant from most people it won't be that hard to keep his character around in some capacity for the remainder of this season. Damn, that had to be hard for everybody involved in this project. It's shaping up to be such a good series too. If they can keep their focus on the central hub of characters driving Pied Piper, with common comical detours provided by the misguided grandiose nature of Erlich, the constant infighting between Dinesh and Gilfoyle and the awkwardness of Jared and Richard how they all come together to defeat Gavin Belson, who I think will have to become an even bigger part now, then they can make this a successful season. I can also see this getting better if they're able to allow Monica to have more power with Peter Gregory seemingly MIA. She was obviously a much more prominent character who became hyper involved with Pied Piper in this past episode. I noticed on IMDB they already have a 2015 block reserved, so this must have already been picked up for a second season. Last edited by Youre My Boy Blu!; 05-22-2014 at 11:51 PM. |

It was only 8 episodes. I know things were thrown off course with the unexpected passing of Christopher Evan Welch, but I didn't think they were going to cut the series short. If I had watched this episode without knowing about the renewal for a 2015 season, I'd have probably been convinced after the unveiling of nucleus and the subsequent shattering of the PP team's spirit that the show was going to end on a low note. Then, Richard Hendrix proved why he is a rock star. Seeing Jared completely lose his mind from sleep deprivation was so unexpectedly hilarious. Erlich's confrontation with Gavin Belson in front of the press was so dirty, but genius. Erlich can be so damn arrogant, but you know he's a necessary ally in battle. I just have a feeling we're going to see some sort of divide between Richard and Erlich after the company gets really successful, and I don't know how I'm going to feel about that. Of even greater concern, is what the producer/writers decide to do for Peter Gregory. I was thinking they find somebody to do his voice for some scenes, keep him distant. Maybe have him appear in a holographic projection like they did with Gavin Belson, but a holographic projection that works and doesn't freeze up, haha. That can be done with CGI. Then, they may do something sort of inconclusive like have him get lost in space on some kind of spacecraft he was developing. |

Well, crahp.
This time I saw the pre-show bumper stating it was the season finale. Bummer. It's going to feel like an eternity before season 2 starts, and it better arrive with at least 10 episodes planned. |

![]() It's not uncommon though for HBO shows to start off with 8 episodes. The whole "discussion" was hilarious, especially if you are used to working with programmers on a daily basis. ![]() |
