Talking Blu-ray and Sam's Club

I recently recieved in the mail the holiday book from Sams Club. Being a man I instantly flipped to the electronics. And I noticed something very special. They only mentioned Blu-Ray!!!! Movies and the Sony Blu-Ray player! I was extremly happy! This is huge for Blu. Think about all the people who are members that got that book. Hell it even explained Blu-Ray and why it was better than DVD! This is huge and finally shows that HD-DVD is trully dieing and that this Holiday season will be its death bed. HD-DVD whats that? Blu-Ray BABY True High Definition at its finest! PQ and AQ to new and higher limits!! I'll laugh at HD-DVDs funeral.

Cool, I hope they have some blu-ray's by Christmas, I have heard that they don't even carry hi-def movies at all.

my local sams club currently carries 13 different blu-ray titles, yah i counted sad huh, and 1 sony blu-ray player. They have no hd-dud players and odd enough only 1 hd-dud title.

it would be pretty smart for the BDA to focus on Sam's. The people who shop there have a little more money than they typical wal-mart shoppers and are much more inclined to pick up a blu-ray player than the avg. wal-mart shopper. im not saying blu-ray would do better at sam's than wal-mart or that sam's is more important than wal-mart in this war. im just saying the avg. sam's shopper is more likely to pick up a player than the avg. wal-mart shopper. once blu-ray takes off in sam's. wal-mart can start integrating displays in all of its stores. on a side not, ive yet to hear of a hd dvd endcap display at WM, only hardware endcaps. seems if wm really like hd dvd, they'd at least hook one up to a tv and let ppl see what it can do. they got a ps3 hooked up to a 1080i display in every store.

My Sams Club carries almost 20 titles and 1 blu ray player. So I think they already started carrying Bluray. No HD DVD anywhere as I can see

thanks miro. I think I will start posting on this forum now. I want this war to end soon. And the only way for that to happen is if Bluray takes off. Especially if Warner goes exclusive. If Warner went Red the war would take forever and end up ruining HDM all together

Sam's and Wal-Mart are owned by the same Corp. - I notice more at Wally's then Sam's, but things can change - I like Fry's and Best Buy better myself.........

They already do I dont know if your Sam's Club is left out or what but they do have Hd-Dvd movies and Blu-Ray movies but like in my Sam's Club they have it in a special spot so just ask someone who works there on where there Blu-Ray movie section is and they should tell you if they do or not
