hello, i just got from netflix, hostel part 2 and spider-man 3 on blu-ray but they dont work? i tried my 300 blu-ray and it worked. how come these 2 wont work but my other blu-ray discs work.

its a Sony- BDP-S1. and if i do need a update how would i do that? i got this player from sears. it has a single slot for 1 disc and i purchased it for $1,200. thx for the quick reply guys.

check for small cracks in the disc towards the center ring. i've had two or three of these from netflix.

but as long as you have no cracks, hopefully its something eay like a firmware update. good luck.

how would i get this fireware update and put it on the player itself?

Hmm, I have a PS3, and they make it easily downloadable fromt he system.

If your player is anything like most computers' firmware updates, check the manufacturer's website. They will more than like offer a download which you can burn to a CD which you will pop into the drive of your player and autorun.

I'm betting you just need a firmware update. Not sure how to install it on the BDP-S1. I'd check you owner's manual or just google it. Good luck.

You have to burn it as an Image or it will not work or you call sony & they will send you a update disc.
