Blue flash/streak issue with Star Wars Episode 1

Hi all,

I'm new here and registered as I'm having an issue with the Bluray release of Star Wars Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace, and need community help.

When I was watching the film, at approximately 1:47:10 in, there is a shot of a Battledroid firing at the Naboo and Jedi attacking the Hangar. In my copy of the film at the moment that Battledroid fires, the top of the screen turns blue for a second which is an obvious flaw.

I contacted Fox who came back with the unexpected response that:

the blue streak you detected is intended and purposely included in the feature. We have checked all LucasFilm approved masters for both DVD and bluray products released, and this content exists in each

If anyone has this film could you please check your copy for me and let me know if your copy has this issue as well? I've never seen it as part of the DVD release and it's very odd that it would have been inserted deliberately.
