I'm guessing it will drop to about £25 though, and eventually a bit less. Certainly one I will definitely consider if I'm looking for some great entertainment (but I might pass on pre-order...A Touch of Zen and The Friends of Eddie Coyle take clear priority).

By any chance, is there a scene in this film where the main character jumps off a bridge horizontally and lands in shallow water on his back, whilst the leading pack dive in after him head first and get stuck in the mud?!?
Bit vague I know, but its been a long time! |

According to the last submission (nothing yet from Eureka) 1:05 of compulsory cuts were required to two scenes of animal cruelty (cockfighting).

I just watched the movie for the first time, and it probably is what got me laughing the most.
It's like "wtf ? what have I done ?", in slow motion. From the bad guy. When he's dying. Like the rest of the movie, it does not make a lot of "sense". To be honest, I didn't find the whole first movie very good. It's funny and silly, but I was more laughing at the movie than with it. Most of the actors aren't very good (Nero seems like he simply doesn't care, the dubbing probably being the least of the issues with his acting in the movie), and the fight sequences, while often well choregraphed and shot efficiently, are most of the time cut and framed in the way that it's showing how obviously all the punches and kicks are faked, so it's hard to be taken in all that. Fortunately, everything is so silly that it didn't feel overlong or overblown (though the opening sequence felt a bit boring to me after some point). |

I'm sure you're right. The only possible difference is that the cuts may have been implemented slightly differently... but that would be negligible. Actually these cruelty cuts don't bother me personally, though having seen the film uncut, the footage is less upsetting than a ton of stuff the board have passed for 'quick kill' reasons.

Can anyone confirm whether Revenge of the Ninja is the full uncut (unrated) US version, with the throwing star to the head scene, spikes to the face, extra long blood spurt during the final fight etc. all intact?
Thanks in advance! Leon ![]() |
