Bluray Ps3 Question - Blu-ray Forum

Does the PS3 or any bluray player upcorvert regular dvds?
Would my regular dvds look better on my ps3?

The PS3 didn't upscale originally but does after firmware updates. If you bought one new recently it should do it out of the box.

but remember with your ps3 video settings make sure its set at either 720p, 1080i, or 1080p depending on what kind of an HDTV you have like for instance if you have a 720p tv make sure you set it to 720p or if its 1080p make sure its set at 1080p and as soon as thats cleared up along with the system update you will then be able to watch your dvds in HD
