Just a heads-up the 4-disc set currently has a $5 clippable coupon brining it down to $29.99. Amazon will no doubt lower their price even further so it's best to lock that in now as it's only good till April 5th

I second that. It would appear that the Blu-ray release will also be just "John Carter" and will not adopt the "...from Mars" moniker.

That's too soon I think. I imagine around July/Early Aug.

Why did this movie cost 250 MILLION??? C'mon disney, like it was even a surprise this would be a bust. The Avengers will cost less to make than this! 30 Million less!

Stating the obvious, I know. Might check out though, the trailers looked alright.

Ok so he's watching himself fight those apes apparently Anyways i'll surely get the 3D combo, really enjoyed this in IMAX. I hope this turns out to be a 5-disc set though, would love to see more behind the scenes material.

As you might be able to tell from my avatar, I love this movie. It's absurdly underrated. Can't wait to own it. Seen it twice already, loved the 3D. I'm pretty much planning on investing into a 3D projector because of it.

And can we change the topic title? It's not John Carter "from" Mars. John Carter is the title. Even John Carter of Mars is more correct.

Same. I still have a $5 gift card from TRU from the Lady and the Tramp promotion. If Up 3d doesn't release in May, I'll just use it on this.

Yeah, but you can't do that with Disney releases. Their slipcovers are the best

This is what the slipcover should have looked like in my opinion. (note: I have little to no photo manipulating skills so this is a little rough)

With the $5 coupon and a likely price drop in the future, I went ahead and pre-ordered. When I went to add it to my collection on this site, however, I noticed it uses completely different cover art -- but a can't find anything other than that tiny thumbnail.

Just a nitpick, but it's not "John Carter from Mars". It's "John Carter", like the covers say. I doubt the site manager monitors our posts, I'll probably pm him to tell him if no one else does first.
