Director's Cut. Watch the motion comic separately.

I'm willing to bet most of the people that voted for the DC over the UC have:

1.) Not seen the UC and/or
2.) Not read the graphic novel

Why are so many people mentioning the motion comic as if it's included in any cut? Seems lke there's another option for those that voted against the UC

3.) People who have no clue what the Ultimate Cut includes.

At least 3 of the people who voted for the DC over the UC fall into this clueless category. Tony in fact voted for both the theatrical and DC, so that's a double-fail.

I haven't seen the Ultimate Cut, but I can't imagine that having animated stuff in the middle of the film would improve it in any way!

I don't see why that would be the case when an actual Motion comic exists for Watchmen..

Erm... wrong.

And yes, I voted for the Director's Cut (although I'm still not a fan of Rorschach's extended scene with the cops).

Well, I've seen the theatrical cut (once) in the cinema and later owned the DC dvd and now the DC blu-ray.

Whilst I enjoy some of the extra scenes of the DC, other additions are not really needed or look a tad unfinished. The extra material also slows down the pacing of this film quite a bit.

I guess your post has motivated me to check out the theatrical version once more...

I agree, although I prefer the Director's Cut. As Snyder described:

"[The Director's Cut] is everything. Whilst there is an ultimate edition to follow, it isn't a cut, it's an experiment we wanted to do with The Black Freighter."
