The Walking Dead: Physical Format Collection

Update: Telltale has now confirmed to IGN that the Collector’s Edition of The Walking Dead: The Game will be a GameStop exclusive and is available only to customers who pre-order. As seen below, the set will be available for $69.99 on December 4th and includes:

* A disc containing all five episodes of the game
* The Walking Dead Compendium One (which normally retails for $59.99 and includes the first 48 issues) with exclusive Charlie Adlard cover art
* A Collector’s Edition box featuring Charlie Adlard artwork

elltale notes that the Collector’s Edition will be “extremely limited” and is for pre-orders only, and that the version of the Compendium included in the box will not be sold outside of this set. Separately, a standard edition of The Walking Dead: The Game will hit stores on December 4th for $29.99. Both editions will be available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Telltale also confirmed that the digital release of episode 5, No Time Left, is expected in November and more details will be coming “very soon.”

The Collector's Edition is, not the game. But I have bought a few Gamestop Exclusive Collector's Editions without a single complaint or regret.

Well I definitely prefer a physical disc over Digital Downloads, but I'm passing on this since I already bought the Digital Download. Wish I would've known a physical copy was in the works though.....I would've waited.

Well it's not really a surprise since they did the same thing for Back to the Future except having a new trophy list. They'll probably do that Jurassic Park game next.

Yeah it's probably not a surprise to people who are aware. I've never played or heard of the Back to the Future game, let alone Telltale as a company. So I'm not familiar at all with their ways of business. But...now I know

Besides Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, and The Walking Dead, they also made CSI games based off of that tv show, Sam and Max, and Tales of Monkey Island.
