Default Telluride Film Festival? :D

I'm not sure if I'll take part in this, especially because I don't think I saw any dates or times on this webpage, but:

http://www.thewrap.com/movies/column...bor-day-113761

Bunch of films being shown up at Telluride, Colorado! The one I am most interested in is Alfonso Cuáron's Gravity!

Anyone interested in this? Anyone attending it?

How do these film festivals work? Do you just go there and if the movie is playing, you watch it? Or are they playing on a constant loop in different auditoriums?

You usually have to buy a pass (either a day pass or a full week pass) and you get into the films screening that day (films are usually shown about once or twice during a festival and they're scheduled in) they're usually scattered around a few theatres and usually overlap one another so you've got to plan carefully.

I don't think it works in a way that you can just get in to see a singular movie, and from the looks of it all the passes are sold out (strange they only release the line up a day prior) but you'll just have to plan for next year instead.

Also don't take this for granted, I've never actually been to a film festival, I've only really come close to going to two film festivals and none of them are close to this sort of calibre.

My heart was broken into many pieces after reading this post. Sounds like I'm out of luck anyways, heh.

Hm. Okay, so the pass... all right. That actually makes sense. It would be counterproductive to have people be able to come in and watch just one or two movies that interest them. Apart from losing out on a significant amount of money, it is also rather disrespectful to the other filmmakers that don't have the kind of visibility that Alfonso Cuaron has, for instance. It gives everyone a chance, and that's something I can definitely respect
