I Hate working for them.We just got a new handbook stating that we can only shop at our home store only, so i cant shop at any other one.
So i am quiting this week.
I cant purchase the Smallville on blu ray until then, which is used

I went to Gamestop yesterday to trade in some games to get Folklore. When the sales guy went to get a copy of the game, there was only one left and it was the "display" copy. The guy went over to the shelf to grab the case but the only Folklore case on the shelf was a dummy case that they made with some Gamestop insert and Folklore printed on it. No manual or original case. The guy was about to give me that. I told him that I would consider it if he would knock off a bit of the price from 59.99. He said they could not do that, so I just got Jericho instead. How do they think they are going sell a copy of Folklore, opened, without the case or manual for the full brand new price?

I hate Gamestop, the company and their policies are ridiculous. I will never shop there. I dunno if they still do this but the last time I went to one they asked for my DL# for a return WITH a receipt, and they tried to refuse my refund until I gave it to them. I then just stated I don't have a DL and and they had no choice. But this is the STUPIDIST thing I have ever heard of.

simple someone stole the original artwork it happens all of the time it happens in the gamestop i work at as well

That is why I dont buy games there. they open them and expect to sell them as new. I think it doesnt look right to give a game to someone for christmas/b-day that is opened. kinda cheesy.they think you got it an played it first, I hate that place, They are some of the most arrogant rude little bastards I have ever met. Especially a little man named Paul at the Apple Blossom Mall, he must have little mans syndrome. They are very rude then expect me to prorder a game from them, I just tell them that Wal-Mart will have plenty of copies

when you say that dont include me i know you were saying in general but im polite to the customers and i do question some of the things they think of like for instance we have the Resident Evil 1 and 2 dvds in 1 package as new not used for $15 and so i asked why does headquarters want us to keep all of our copies in a drawer where no one will see it?

I echo you, Gamestop has lied and ripped me off a few times and the employees I had experiences with were extremely rude.

I had this one employee playing music over me and drowning my voice out with a PSP hooked up to a stereo when I was trying to return an item, the ass was right behind the counter next to the lady that was trying to refund my item and he knew I was trying to talk, when you say arrogant and rude your not lying.

I will never shop at a gamestop ever again due to this experiences.

Hate to tell you this, but Gamestop bought EB Games a year ago, now the same company.

I buy my games at my local store, just bought the new PS3 40 gig there as well on friday. The guys there are nice, known a couple of them for a while and they treat me right and I get some bonuses as well from time to time. I can't complain, as a customer, they treat me right.

And no offense, but the employees are less than stellar. I literally got into an argument when asking about an HDMI cable. The employee was telling me that it was a waste of money, because there is no difference between HDMI and comp cables and that you can get 1080P with comps.
