How long do streaming platforms give before they consider it a failure? The reason I ask is Wu Assassins is on Netflix and Carnival Row is on Amazon Prime.

I believe they already renewed Carnival Row. Amazon often renews shows in advance.
As for Netflix, it seems they decide on renewing a show depending how big out of the gate it is. Sometimes they're renewed by the end of the week, others by the end of the month. Often at the end of the month if it's not successful they announce its cancelled. It's extremely scattershot. |
