Default Phantasy Star Nova announced by Sega for PS Vita

Sega have announced Phantasy Star Nova exclusively for the PS Vita. It’s a primarily single player game developed by Tri-Ace set in the world of Phantasy Star 2, which it will coexist with on the PS Vita. The game can also be played co-op with up to 4 players online.

Apparently the game will feature really big enemies. Screens and video will be available at TGS, however the game won’t be playable.

Well don't think the PS Vita has been confirmed to be localized for PSO2. I know they are going to release the Smartphone versions and I think PC, but never heard Sega mention of localizing the PS Vita version which is probably because Sega is too afraid of release PS Vita games outside of Japan. But of course that was before the price cut.

Oh, come on. It's free to play anyway, so they won't need to factor in the cost of a retail release. And they can simply port over the localisation to the Vita version. Plus, with the announcement of the Vita TV, it be lucrative for people who just want to sit down and play on their TV.

Or what the hell, maybe they should give us a PS4 version.

Well actually, Japan did get a retail release of Phantasy Star Online 2 for PS Vita. Though I suppose there have been many titles that were released in retail in Japan but only on PSN Store in America with a retail copy available in Europe.

I know, but you get my point about a retail copy being unnecessary.
