United Kingdom The Capture BBC air date, cast, trailer, plot: When does The Capture start?

Express.co.uk

Quote:
The Capture will arrive on BBC Once with an A-lister cast and nail-biting plot already announced. Here’s all you need to know about The Capture, from the trailer to air date.

BBC One is expected to release brand-new crime series The Capture on TV screens soon. With The Capture cast boasting names like Golden Globe-winner Ron Perlman and James Bond star Famke Janssen, the series is bound to be a hit with fans of the thriller genre. So who else stars in The Capture? When is it released? And is there a trailer for the new BBC series?

Who stars in The Capture on BBC?
The cast of The Capture includes a number of high-profile names alongside the likes of Perlman and Janssen.

Star of Netflix Original Tramps and History’s War & Peace, Callum Turner will play the lead character, Shaun Emery.

Turner’s co-lead is Holliday Grainger, who fans may recognise from The Borgias – she’ll play Rachel Carey.

Game of Thrones star Ralph Ineson lands the role of Alex Boyd in The Capture, while The Last Kingdom’s Cavan Clerking also joins the cast.

Other actors to keep an eye out for in The Capture include Sophia Brown as Karen Melville, Ian Pirie as Kenny, and Derek Siow as Andy Sim.

What will happen in The Capture on BBC?
The plot for The Capture was announced by the BBC in a lengthy synopsis about the brand new series.

BBC’s synopsis of The Capture reads: “When proud British soldier Shaun Emery’s conviction for murder in Afghanistan is successfully overturned due to flawed video evidence, he begins to plan for his life as a free man with his six-year-old daughter.

“However, when damning CCTV footage emerges from an incident in London, it isn’t long before Shaun finds himself fighting for his freedom once more, only with lies, betrayal, and corruption spreading further than he ever could have imagined.

“With DI Rachel Carey drafted in to investigate in what could be a career-defining case, she must discover if there is more to the shocking evidence than first meets the eye.

“Rachel will soon learn that the truth is merely a matter of perspective - before deciding what hers is.

“With an adamant Shaun battling with his tormented past in order to clear his name once and for all, The Capture looks at a troubling world of misinformation, fake news, and the extraordinary technological capabilities of the intelligence services. In the post-truth era and when criminal justice relies so heavily on video evidence, can we always believe what we see?”

Is there a trailer for The Capture?
No, a trailer for The Capture is yet to be released by the BBC.

With filming and production still ongoing, it may be a while before fans get the first glimpse at The Capture.

The Capture trailer will undoubtedly feature a number of high-octane shoot-outs, tense stand-offs, and hair-raising jumps.

The Capture will be released on BBC One.

I've been watching it today and enjoying it a lot despite a few weird choices/decisions.

Like, that time Shaun wakes up in the van, the chick threatens him that she has a taser (it was a stun gun), and expects him to not be afraid??

Another time she asks him to help get over a barrier which she could veru easily climb it herself. Or even just jump over it.

And one last example: Carey looked at the CCTV camera of that mansion (they call it that, I guess), the servant told her it was a "dummy" and she believed it. What the hell, she just believes and leaves even though there's clearly a cable while a dummy camera has no cable (sure it could be wireless, but it's far more secure to use wired).

I know it's a show, but come on.

Finished season 2... It's just nowhere near as good as the first season was and towards the end of S2 there was a hint of a S3 to save Shaun? No, not interested. They blew their chances with the good show they had.
