Default Disturbia removed from my Netflix queue

Disturbia BD was on long wait on my Netflix que and now it is unavailable. Mission Impossible movies are still on que (though I have ordered them).
I bet a lot of these paramount/Dreamworks movies get "Lost" in the mail now that they are unavailable for sale.

It got moved to my saved movies with a date of unknown.
I have Shooter sitting on my shelf, wonder if they will want it back?

So you are the reason I can't get Shooter.

Actually I just bought it while it was still available for sale.

How resistant to scratches are the blu-rays you are receiving from Netflix? Are they like the dvds and have wear and tear from riding through the mail?

Mine is in the saved queue as well.
No scratches, but I recently received a cracked blu-ray from Netflix, but that was the first out of a hundred DVDs and a couple dozen blu-ray rentals.

That's why you have to go with Blockbuster. They just expanded their section at the nearest store. Nice.

I have The Warriors and Sahara at home right now... any high bidders here?

So far most blu-rays came in pristine condition. Disturbia was a bit scratched, however nothing as bad as most DVDs that they ship out. Twice I had a problem with a movie skipping and 1 time the disc was cracked, they replaced them without questions... I am pretty happy with their services, however lately we discovered that most new release titles especially blu taking a lot longer to be shipped out. Long wait to very long wait on most of the newer ones. Had 5 at a time for almost 4 years now, so we switched to 3 at a time and my wife opened a new account with them, getting the latest releases send out almost instantly. Odd...

I just got the Dracula BD from Netflix. First problem, the disc was literally stuck to the sleeve. Gross! After fishing it out and washing it, I popped it in. My PS3 recognized it and when I selected the disc it said "disc unreadable". Pullled it out and there was a small (less than a centimeter) crack out the outter edge.

Oh well, I guess shit happens. What can you do. You just go into your queue and click "Report Problem" and they ship you a new disc the next day. So instead, I watched Eyes Wide Shut for the 2nd time ever and was pleasantly surprised to say I liked it a lot more the 2nd time around. Kubrick is awesome!

its not that odd i think its common practice i can't remember the term but after a certain period of time don't they start cutting orders to people who rent movies in bulk?

something to do with trying to get new customers.

people skip between the two rental places so when it happens at one store they go back to the other.

Netflix has a rental control system where they will slow down mailings to people who are high volume renters. It's kind of ****ed up if you think about it.

I do understand that they are doing anything they can to get more and keep the new customers as well... however what about the old ones?
I wouldn't even mind paying an extra 5 bucks a month if I get what I want to see a lot faster... still cheaper than blockbuster and netflix got a way better selection anyways.

Just my 2 cents

That's weird. Sometimes Netflix shoves things into my saved list that weren't in my queue in the first place. I got Disturbia from them about three weeks ago and watched it. I had it at the top of my list since it was released. It really was not very good, IMO.

I find they are usually still playable, if the crack is small and on the outer edge. The inside cracks are usually a problem, though. Did you try cleaning the disc very well before playing it. I clean every disc I get from Netflix, before inserting it, irrespective of how they look.

Both Disturbia and Sahara are still available for sale at WM.com.... I know I know, some of you will cry foul just at the mention of this. But if you really want this movie...?

They don't own their copies, they have to license them from the studios--
As I found out when trying to rent "Manchurian Candidate" and Lemony Snicket.
