Default Why do distributor's play kill the quality by playing with contrast/brightness

I'm going to some of my releases and got some very sad results here, Some independent distributor's seem to be really killing some of my releases. The sad thing is, I had some very bad dutch releases, so I had to double dip and get the UK release to have in some cases an even worse or worser result.

The problem is mainly overly bright video which kills the black levels or way to much contrast which crushes out al the shadows. The shots below are just shots, but the whole film is in all cases too bright or too dark.

Some Examples, UK is To Bright

The Experiment, some very crushed black levels in the UK release which i bought after ditching the NL release because it was to bright, well I think i should have kept the bright one...

The Double, people in the UK again don't get half of the image because of the crush in the blacks. Again, I double dipped because the NL release was awfull, but once more I will have to triple dip.

And to let you see why I ditched my NL release, they did allot wrong with this one

5 Days of war, again too bright in the UK release

Fair Game, the NL release is way too bright, you get some very nasty artifacting in the right side of the image

Trust, too bright in both NL and UK Release

Seeking Justice, Way too Dark in the NL Release, the UK release is a little less worse, but still allot of crush compared to the US Release

Ghost Writer, too bright NL release, look at the door left, but just the wole image is full of artifacts

It's not fun if you have to buy some films 3 times just because the distributors destroy the image.
