Welcome to my HT Thread!
After being patient I was finally able to make some much-needed upgrades! Latest upgrades: Panasonic GT30 55" 3D TV New Reclining La-z-boy Couch Emotiva 10" Subwoofer Thank you for visiting! ![]() ------------------------------------------------------------- Hey guys. I've been on the forum for 3 years now (hard to believe) and finally I was able to post some HT pics. I welcome any suggestions or ideas you might have for me. I just ordered some zip ties from Monoprice along with a shorter subwoofer cable to help with the cable mess, per one suggestion on my HT page. Let me know what you think! ![]() Last edited by bkbluray; 09-29-2011 at 05:38 PM. |

Let me ask, but it doesn't appear you are straight on to the TV from that one chair? Your gear is actually quite nice, so you are pretty good there. Cleaning up the room (wire management) of some kind would go a long way towards making that room much more inviting. Any chance you could put those surrounds next to the chair on the wall, up maybe a foot or 2 above your head? Or could you center the TV on the wall it is against right now and then you could spread out your fronts more, giving you a wider front soundstage and better AQ? But for someone just out of college, you have more than I did.

![]() I could probably put those speakers on the wall, though I live in an apartment, so not sure if that would work too well. I might either get higher stands or, wait until I get a house and then use the mounts in my HT there. Great idea about centering the TV. I might just be able to slide the whole entertainment center over - I'm hoping I won't have to take each piece off... And agreed, the whole room would look cleaner and more inviting with a clean up and some serious wire management. Last edited by bkbluray; 12-09-2010 at 06:17 PM. |

Just moved the TV to the middle of the wall, per Fors* suggestion. I spread the front speakers out to either end of the wall, placed the sub in between the left speaker and TV stand, and ran Audyssey MultEQ again.
WOW! ![]() I watched The Incredible Hulk (newest) and it was unbelievable. Still in awe after that last battle! Last edited by bkbluray; 12-10-2010 at 03:04 PM. |

Here's the latest on what I've been doing with my HT. I added a white bookcase on the right side, and was able to place the right surround speaker on top of it, giving it some much needed height. I took the short stand from the surround right speaker, stuck it on top of the short stand of the surround back right speaker, and raised that up as well. I moved the surround left speaker on top of a bookcase on that side as well, and now all my surround speakers are at ear level or above. Big difference!
