I'm thinking of getting a phone soon (yes i don't have one) and was doing research on phone plans and it seems to me Tmobile has the best plan as far as pricing goes. Verizon has the best coverage but is so expensive. Their share everything plan starts out too high with little data. To get real usable data you're looking at $100. Sprint and AT&T are cheaper but nearly the same.
Tmobile's new simple choice plan doesn't have any 2 year contract or activation fee. You just pay for the phone on top of your plan option at $20+. You can pay it off anytime you want to and get it unlocked. Their plans start at $50 for 500mb of high speed data. Get this; After 500mb the speed gets slower but you are charged for it. And you still have access to everything. The next option is 2.5gb for $60 and unlimited for $70. I looked at comparisons and Tmobile was cheaper over 2 years. Which do you guys prefer? What plans are you currently using? Do you like it? |

My wife and I are currently on Verizon and have been for the past several years. IMO you're right that they're too expensive. We're on an old plan that you can't get any mroe with unlimited data and text messages. When our contract is up next time we're thinking of looking around at some of these unlimited everything, no contract deals like Boost Mobile or Aio for ~$50/month.

verizon clearly has the coverage advantage, but you're gonna pay for it lol. if you don't live near a big city or travel a lot, verizon is the best choice. but since you don't even have a phone yet, i think a prepaid att provider would be good.
http://www.aiowireless.com/en.html uses att, even lte. but the speeds are capped at 8mb down on lte. but 2gb for $55 is a pretty good deal if you have good tmobile coverage they have a $30 plan with 100 minutes and 5gb data. i have their $60 plan. get 35mb down on lte. it's great |

So you're saying pre paid is the best way to go? I called Tmobile and they said I have full coverage in my area.
Wasn't really thinking pre paid but I guess I'll look into it. Do they give you a phone or you have to bring your own? |

$249 for one of the best android phones - https://play.google.com/store/device...d=nexus_4_16gb (nexus 5 is probably weeks away from being released though. and hopefully it'll be the same pricing as the nexus 4 which was 299/349 at launch). |
