Hi I just bought a new video card with the intention of using it for Amazon Prime video (I dislike netflix more and more), DVD's' and blu-ray movies. I would prefer the console BD player but I have bad luck with them working reliably.
See my signature for PC system specs. My problem is that my new video card is giving me the following problems: 1) No direct HDMI output signal from the card - then my computer does not recognize my HDTV connected via HDMI (the HDTV is actually connected to my receiver - to my PC via HDMI) 2) When I use the DVI/HDMI adapter, the card outputs no-sound 3) I cannot see my BIOS/Start Up screen because the card doesn't output any video signal until windows starts; for either the dvi monitor or my HDTV 4) I get a black screen on my PC monitor after I leave the computer inactive for more than 15 minutes (computer goes on stand by) The drivers installed are the latest via the AMD website. I use windows 8 Pro Last edited by rarredoa; 04-09-2014 at 03:30 PM. |
