sonys been going real stong with there advertising lately, first there new commercials are very good everybody likes them, and now games like call of duty4 the simsons game assason creed are being advertiezed as ps3 only with the starting and 399 at the end

i love it

of course sony didn't make all those games, but it's great to see 3rd party devs really putting some effort into their releases

I've notice lately that Sony is advertising their PS3 heavily... I already own a standalone player however, after watching some of those ads, I'm almost tempted to go and buy one... tempting, very tempting...

Their new adds are pushing the price of the new ps3 as well as a blu-ray player and movies availible for blu-ray.

The two of us are not gamers (well I suck) but thats besides the point. We been contemplating getting the PS3 60 gigs for Christmas since we have like 10 PS2 games

I wouldn't wait too long. I'm not sure many places still have 60s available.

If you're looking for backwards compatability then you'd better pick up a 60GB while they still exist in stores. Everywhere here is sold out, from time to time I'll come across one but they're getting harder and harder to find.

One Best Buy where I live (Baltimore) had a whole pyramind-esque stack of 60GB units... I was surprised.

Thanks for the advice, but we already have one separated until the next paycheck. Gives us 8 days to decide.

Don't get me wrong it's a great machine but Christmas is just around the corner. So we have to start budgeting for gifts. If it wasn't for that id snatch up right now.

Get it while it's hot. 60GB model is still the best IMO.
