I had to do a double take when I saw this mentioned in the main KL thread. Awesome to finally get this Hughes classic on blu. Mentioned it before, but it would have been a funny gimmick to have a special Target-exclusive release.

I picked this one up on iTunes in HD a while back. I’ve seen it a few times now, but for those who haven’t, I would say temper your expectations quite a bit. While it has all the pieces of a Hughes film, it’s probably his laziest effort. Connelly is the real draw here, which is great for some, but the dialogue is quite flat and uninteresting. Not sure what happened with this film, and since Kino is releasing it, there will most likely be zero special features regarding the creation.

I’ll pick it up for sure, but only because of completionist reasons.
