Rear Window Region Free Blu Ray Question

Hey guys. So I've been wanting to pick up Rear Window on Blu Ray for a while now, but I don't want to have to buy the whole Hitchcock Essentials collection to get it. I've seen that the UK version of Rear Window is region free and was wondering if the picture/sound quality is as good as the US version.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Just be aware that the UK cut is a little different. Because they don't have rear windows in the UK, Hitchcock changed it to make Stewart look out the Front Window. He mostly stares at traffic the whole time, and points at people crossing the street, and comments about who's going in and out of stores. Absolutely nothing eventful happens for 2 hours.

Rear Window had a profound effect on me. Like most people, viewing a movie at certain young ages leaves a lasting effect. That's what this film did for me. I can't remember how old i was (maybe 12 or 13) when i first watched this movie brilliance. What i do remember though is being gripped, start to finish. I remember exactly where i was when i watched it and i remember thinking about (and talking about) this movies for days and days after. It was the film that left that lasting effect on me like no other movie did. We all have these kind of movie memories. Rear Window was mine.

I watched it last year for the first time in ages. I was ill and stuck at home and had the urge to watch this one. It was even better than I remember it. Great stuff and definitely my favourite Hitchcock film.

....unlike North by Northwest which I also watched and was definitely worse than I remembered it thanks to it ageing badly in my opinion.
