Default Sony removes BDP-S1 from the US online shopping

I was just browsing for specs and I noticed this. I hope this means they are out of stock. Should we prepare for the grace period profile player price slashing to begin?

Yes, the S1 is gone. There are reports of holiday price cuts but nothing official.

I hope this will not mean that Sony will no longer post firmware updates for the player?

According to my Sony Rep. (S.E. Distributor) firmware upgrades will continue right through to dts-HD Master.

Bye the way Greggles, nice line up of equipment, especially all the Arcam hardware. Have you experienced Arcam's CD-36 192/24 Upsampling CD Player? It is truly amazing. It will upsample all normal CD's (48/16 bit) to 192/24 bit out through four Wolfsen DAC's. It's like giving a shot of adrenelin to every one of your CD's. I love it!! [Jim]

So it's confirmed?

The BDS1 will either decode or pass DTS-HD ma?

That will change my future.
