I see Monsters U BD is selling for $9.96 in Walmarts black friday ad. Does Amazon price match Walmart?

Amazon doesn't have to price match for movies. It's right on there website. You can alert them of the price difference, but they don't have to price match it.

They will be matching it as a lightning deal at 9:20AM EST / 6:20AM PST. You'll have to be quick if you want it, it'll surely sell out quickly

They don't price-match (as in you say you've seen it cheaper and can they match the price) but they do price-match other retailers when they have offers on. Usually if a good deal pops up with Best Buy it will be matched with Amazon shorty afterwards.

Is it best to have the item in your cart before the deal starts or do you need to wait until the deal is life before adding?

You need to wait till it's live as you have to claim it from the lightning deal page. It should refresh automatically when you're on the page,.

Not per se - i.e. they don't do it upon customer request. But their prices attempt to closely track the sale prices of other major retailers.
