Yes Toy Story 1 and 2 in 3D redeem digital copies when you redeem them on DMR. You can then sell the iTunes part and it will also redeem in DMA if their iTunes account is connected to their DMA account. I strongly recommend you join Disney Movie Club if you want them. More info about DMC in the movie and tv deals section of this forum.

Thanks for the tip about the Disney Movie Club. i will have to look into it. That's also good to know about selling the copy code that comes with the movies since I will get a Disney Movies Anywhere copy of each anyway when redeeming the magic code. I may be more apt to trade the copies though. I am trying to find digital copies that would also show in my vudu account for the first three Pirates of the Carribean movies and Iron Man 1 and 2. It appears the Pirates Vudu/DMA codes are only available from a $100 bluray set of all movies. |

Thanks for the info. My only question about that is why is there a listing on vudu's webpage for a Disney Movies Anywhere copy of Iron Man 1 and Iron Man 2 though?

Because they are still part of DMA. If you want Iron Man 1 in DMA, you have to buy it through itunes, Vudu or Google Play. They were both originally distributed by Paramount and not Disney. That is the difference for these 2 along with Captain America-The First Avenger and the first Thor.

All 4 of the Paramount Marvel movies Iron Man 1 and 2 Captain and Thor will transfer to DMA and to Vudu. Thor some times seems to lag a bit, but eventually it makes it. If you haven't done it yet make sure to link both iTunes and Vudu to your DMA account and might as well do Google play also. They will only transfer to Vudu if both iTunes and Vudu are linked to DMA. |

I don't want to be a burden, but can you explain how I can use these "xml codes" to the first Captain America into DMA and vudu. I contacted Disney about Thor and they put it in my DMA account for free ![]() Oh and if I purchase Iron Man 1 or say National Treasure in Itunes will it show up in my DMA and Vudu accounts? The usual tricks to push these movies over is to sign out of DMA and sign back in and unlinking and relinking the services. Also try to sign in on a different platform than you are currently using, PC website, smart phone, tablet. Some people have said a new purchase helped kick over a stuck movie. Also a day or 2 of "incubation" may help. Once you get over this hump it should go a lot smoother. If the movie is listed on the DMA web site, a purchase from iTunes will transfer in to DMA and out to Vudu and the same for a purchase on Vudu for a DMA movie. You may want to use the purchase movie link in DMA to help facilitate the transfer, but it is not necessary. (You will get DMR points for itunes/Vudu and Google play purchases). Touchstone, Dreamworks are not eligible for DMA. The 4 paramount Marvel movies that Disney inherited are the only ones that consistently give people problems, other movies typically transfer fine. Once you get over this hump it should go a lot smoother. |

Hello, I'm relatively new to the forum (in fact, this is my first post) and stumbled across this particular thread in Google (also, apologies if bumping an old thread is against the rules, I checked and didn't see anything but could've missed it). Thanks for the information already provided about Disney Movies Anywhere, it's been very helpful. I have one additional question - do the digital copies included in the Toy Story/Toy Story 2 3D combo packs also come with iTunes extras? I know when I first redeemed my digital copy included with the Toy Story 3 BD/DVD/digital combo pack I didn't get extras, but after DMA started up I had access to and was able to download both an HD copy of Toy Story 3 and iTunes extras in iTunes. I reached out to someone at DMA and he wasn't sure, so I was hoping that perhaps someone here might be able to answer.

All 3 Toy Stories do include iTunes extras. The good thing about iTunes is that if the version of the movie you have comes with iTunes extras, you automatically get the extras, regardless if the movie is in your library from a code redemption or from a purchase or from DMA (always or almost always the movie must be the HD version to include the extras). Note - this is different from Vudu, where you do not automatically get extras. Also note, Cap America 1, Thor 1 and Iron Man 2 becuase of the paramount to Disney switch don't include iTunes extras with code redemption. The Toy Story movies have the 'new' type of iTunes extras, which you can stream, but not download, so you may want to hold on to your old style Toy Story 3 extras as you may not be able to redownload them. It's funny you should mention the Paramount Marvel movies - somehow I ended up with extras for Iron Man 2, even though all I did was redeem the code that came with my BD/DVD/digital combo pack. Not sure why/how. Conversely, my combo packs for Thor 1 and Cap 1 did not produce extras, which initially confused me as I assumed they'd be the same as Iron Man 2. I have one more follow-up question: is it safe to assume I can redeem an HD copy of Toy Story with my combo pack? |
