Default I Have A Real Stupid Question.......

....only because I've never tried it, but will my IPod play through my PS3? It should should it not? Will I get the display on the TV as I would the IPod or would it need some kind of interface?.....Just wondering, don't hammer me too much.

I'll find out as soon as I get home from work. Just wondering if others had been there and done that and any pointers to pass along.

My friend uses his Nano on his and my PS3 via USB cable. It works fine. Sometimes the titles don't show the same information as listed on the iPod, so you might have to play them to figure out what some of the songs are.

I haven't personally used an Ipod with my PS3 as i don't own one but know from reading something a while back that you can, sometimes you may need to do the show all option from the control panel to get all the songs to show

If the music file was encoded by iTunes as AAC, the file's info won't be recognized. That is, the name displayed is going to be different. If the music file was encoded by other apps to MP3, the file will be displayed correctly. Either way, the audio still plays.

No, you can only use the media sharing through windows media player, and the file has to be a supported format as well (mp3, wma, etc...can't remember the rest off the top of my head)

iTunes doesn't support DLNA, there are alternative Windows and Mac OS media programs that do.

Thanks. I'm trying it with WMP now. Too bad about iTunes. I know Sony and Apple partner on other projects. Hopefully it's just an iTunes update (or two) away.

As long as you're not using copy-protected tracks, they're playable.
