I have a question on LotR Blu Rays.
Vudu only shows the "Extended Edition"s available for the 2nd and 3rd Movie. Did anyone buy LotR from Bestbuy over the last couple weeks? Did it come with UV or other Digital Copy? Did you get the "Theatrical" or "Extended" Digital Copy? Thanks |

BTW, VUDU does have the EE for the first movie of the trilogy as well. |

The individual releases, the EE released in August I think were itunes only. I have them on itunes from codes from the BD and i don't recall them working in vudu. Which is a shame given I currently don't have means to watch itunes on my tv

It was the special edition extended releases that had the UV codes (I have them). They are 5 disc sets. I bought them and they all redeemed in HDX through flixster/Vudu.

I own the EE set on Blu, but I wanted to have an HD copy of the theatrical release, so I used my theatrical edition DVDs in Vudu's D2D service. The strange thing is, it gave me access to HDX copies of the first two movies in their extended editions and ROTK in its theatrical release. So, my UV account has the first two films in EE, and the last in its theatrical format.
I'm glad to have a cloud-based back-up of the first two films in EE--my house was in three feet of water following Hurricane Katrina--but it's really strange that this was the edition I received. Furthermore, when I try to convert the Blu of the EE ROTK, the only option I get is for the theatrical edition. |
