Is the remastered version available in Canada or is it just the older disc in the repackage? If so how do you know which one to buy?

u can get the remaster u have a few choices

playstop is the cheapest of the 3 but its out of stock on there so if u don't mind waiting go with that. if u want it right away order it off walmart.ca and use the site ebates.ca and u will get some cash back. amazon would be the priceyest of them as they would charge shipping.

also if u want to pick it up in a store hmv has some but they want $20

I should think so! Just bought it but haven't opened it yet... But both the slip over and cover art underneath indicate that this has a new remaster and the 2 new extra features. What the F!?

Anyone have any proof yet that the old disc is inside? Because in my slipcover post I never said it was a repackage.

Danger Will Robinson! Danger! I bought the BD/DVD/UV combo pack from Future Shop a few days and it was actually just the repackaged edition. The remastered edition (which has no French text on it) has no slipcover or DVD/UV.

check it again the slipcover says it has dd 5.1 lossy audio. the re master has dts-hd master audio 5.1 that's the main thing that lets u know its the old disc.

wb was just trying to cash in on slip collectors by releasing a new slipcover on the old disc just days before the re master came out and ofcouse they didn't put a slip on the remaster.

Actually, you need to check again. Not only does it explicitly say it's the remastered edition, uses the same 20th anniversary artwork and mentions the new extras, it also says it has DTS-MA audio as well.

this one here would be the sliped version witch only Canada got.

Canadian thread. My bad. I thought kdawq thought the Canadian version with the slip was the US version.

The one that was released a few weeks back with the warner bros. 90th anniversary slip is the old one. The real re-mastered version only just came out this past Tuesday.

nope that's wrong I have the slip in my hand from the 90th version and it has dts-hd master audio. the old disc had lossy 5.1 dd sound.

check out MifuneFan pic of the warner 90th slip it says dts on it and I can confirm it say that from my own copy of it. the one released tueday was the same thing just without the dvd or uv copy and the slipcover removed and a bit a dif banner.

Umm, no it's not wrong. That's what people are complaining about in this thread. They are complaining that WB is advertising the new disc on the cover but still using the old disc.

Just opened it up and popped it in. This is:

CONFIRMATION that the 'Best of Warner Bros.' series version IS A REPACKAGE OF THE OLD DISC. Hopefully I can contact Warner to correct this...
