So for many years I had my close set of two best friends. We went to the movies together, or sometimes, me and just one of those two, if the film didn't interest the other, or if one were away at college.
Right now I have my first serious girlfriend in a long time and we went to "Thor 2" together. She was insistent we see it together first, which I was fine with. I then went again with my dad and one best friend. Now the thing is, I did introduce my girlfriend to my two besties by us all going to a movie this summer. One got along with her fine. The other did not, so we never did anything as a 4 person group since. Can/do you trade off who you see a particular big film with? For example, I can't go with my friends and girlfriend to Hobbit, and I'm also going to have to go with my dad at some point. He could likely go with me and my friends (They think he's cool actually. He's joined us often), but that still leaves at least 2 showings of the longest film of the year. Is it ok to trade off who you see a film with for the first time? "Sweetie, I saw Thor first with you, and I'm seeing Hobbit first with friends"? |
